The vision of Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing Department is to encompass education, clinical practice, research, and leadership through the therapeutic use of self and the sciences of nursing, psychology, and biology to deliver evidenced-based, patient-centered care in a variety of clinical settings. It also strengthen and maximize the potential of nursing to ensure that it is fit for purpose in a dynamic and evolving health care context.
Mission:
The mission of the psychiatric (Mental health) Nursing department is to prepare nursing professionals with particular set of skills, attitudes and knowledge that focuses on the care of people with mental health concerns. The faculties of mental health nursing also believes that Professional nurses can function collaboratively with other team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes and can also function independently when meeting patient care needs within their scope of practice.
