Research Advisory Committee

The Research Advisory Committee is constituted as per the QAS guidelines of Kerala University of Health Sciences on 2 nd December 2021. The committee will carry out an advisory role in improving the quality of research conducted by students and faculty of the institution and suggest measures to enhance the research enabling environment of the institution.

Aim:

To streamline the process of developing research proposals.
To coordinate research activities at different levels.
To give direction for the growth and development or research activities among faculty and students.
To facilitate grant writing and identify the funding agencies.
To initiate training programs related to research related academic activities among faculty and students.

Quorum:

The quorum shall be 2/3 rd of the total members.

Frequency of meeting:

Biannually.

Functions:

To advice on thrust areas and disciplines for introducing research programmes and related activities for future development in research.
To create zeal amongst faculty members towards research and innovation.
To provide policy guidelines and direction for the growth and development of research activities.
To suggest measures for improving existing infrastructural facilities both for academic and sponsored research and enhancing research ambiance.
To recommend projects that invite funding or grants from various agencies.
To establish collaboration with other universities, public and private sectors for research and developmental activities.
To advise on the various updates in the field of bioethics and research.

Contribute to the development and implementation of ISRC strategy plan as it relates to research.
Develop workplan to support health related research.
Develop strategies to support the funding of health related research.
Advise on education, training and professional development opportunities for members undertaking research.
Advise on conference proceedings relevant to heath related research.
Discuss issues of relevance to research in order to provide expert advise to ISRC.
Identify and recommend ISRC, opportunities to promote research collaboration,opportunities and initiatives.
Monitor and report activities in the research sector that may be of strategic interest or concern to ISRC.
